IMPROVE SAFETY
Versa Light offers twice the light of old technology dock lights. Not only does this improve safety, it can help improve productivity at the loading dock. Industry insurance studies recommend that to improve safety, dock lights should be used in facilities even if their forklifts are equipped with lights. On the outside of the Versa Light, low voltage circuitry is used to protect workers from the exposure to sparks and shocks which can be present when old technology lights are damaged.
Safety Signal goes beyond ordinary communication packages by using 180° LED lights on the inside control panel to ensure dock workers are aware of an unsafe situation at the dock. The outside light box not only uses high intensity LED lights but each circuit is design to handle two LED’s. Therefore, if one LED were to fail, the light output is more than enough to generate a clear, crisp signal. The outside box has a patented light process that channels the flashing red light signal directly into the mirror of the truck so the light can’t be ignored. This patented light process also reduces communication error to other truck drivers at nearby loading docks and protects the light signal from interference caused by direct sunlight. Safety Signal uses a convergent photo eye mounted above the door in lieu of whisker switches that are old and unreliable.
Smart Chock offers an innovative safety feature that alerts the dock workers when the chock is prematurely removed. The inside control panel and dock light will flash on and off, alerting dock workers that the trailer is no longer secured. (Dock light sold separately). Smart Chock provides a safe, seamless communication system that is easy for workers to implement – it does not provide a bypass switch, eliminating the possibility of the system being overridden.
Keeping the trailer well ventilated can also be critical to dock worker safety - reducing temperatures in hot weather and breathing fresh air is healthier and can help keep workers moving more efficiently. AeroTec’s main housing and moving parts are all located safely out of the way, above the doorframe. This minimizes the chances for injury with the equipment, and also greatly reduces noise output. The break-away elbow re-installs in seconds, and there are no exposed sharp edges anywhere on this design.
MxV provides a loading dock door that is consistently easy to operate. MxV has no wearing parts so the door operation does not change even if the door gets hit or damaged. This ease of operation reduces worker fatigue that can be associated with sectional doors that are hard to operate due to damage on the panels, rollers or track.
