| A: | No. The VL2001 & VL7001 bulbs were designed specifically for use in the Versa Light dock light. Similar bulbs on the market do not reflect the infrared heat back to the bulb shield; this creates a potential FIRE HAZZARD due to heat buildup in the front of the bulb. | |
| Q: | How long does the VL2001 bulb last? | |
| A: | Bulb life for the standard Model 420 is approximately 2,000 hours and it is 4,000 hours for the new Model 420XL. Factors that would affect these estimates would be mounting the Versa Light at a height other than 66” and the actual line voltage at the facility. | |
| Q: | Why do I need to mount the Versa Light at 66”? | |
| A: | This height is required for proper airflow which maximizes bulb life. It also maximizes the flexibility of the Versa Light tube and allows for easy light adjustment by the dockworker. | |
