ENERGY EFFICIENT
Versa Light has LOW voltage/amp draw, and the long lasting bulb makes it a highly efficient dock light. We can interlock Versa Light with our Safety Signal dock communication package or with our Smart Chock restraint system. These products automatically operate the Versa Light as the dock door opens and closes so there is no unnecessary energy use.
Safety Signal's interlocks are not only a great safety feature for the dock worker, but they also take care of turning equipment on/off - saving you costly energy consumption. The interlock is engaged by the photo eye. When the door opens/closes and the photo is engaged/disengaged, the interlock turns the light and fan on/off automatically. Depending on the model, there can be two outlets on the bottom of the inside control unit to plug in a fan and light. The leveler can also be interlocked with the Safety Signal so that it can only be turned on after the door has been opened. With LED's used in the inside and outside boxes, Safety Signal not only is energy efficient it is also maintenance friendly.
Smart Chock’s entire system runs on 115V/.5 AMP – very low energy consumption. Smart Chock is able to integrate with other dock equipment to save on unnecessary energy costs. We can interlock your Versa Light dock light, Aero Tec fan, and leveler to function only when the wheel is chocked and the door is open which reduces energy consumption.
AeroTec can be ordered with 1/3 or 1/2 HP motor, depending on your needs. Model 700 with 1/3 HP motor @ 4.5 amps is the more energy conscious model and consumes about half the power of Super AeroTec Model 750. AeroTec will also interlock with our Safety Signal or Smart Chock inside control units to eliminate wasteful energy consumption. When interlocked, AeroTec will turn on when
the door is opened for loading, and shut off when the door is closed.
MxV saves energy by offering the best long term seal configuration available on the market today. The polypropylene brush seal helps to provide a better U-Factor (the lower the U-Factor, the greater a door’s resistance to heat flow and the better its insulating value) and eliminates costly side gaps that result from door damage, rubber seals that wear, improper installation or door size. This makes MxV the preferred door for food and cold storage applications. In addition to saving energy, MxV can also help the efficiency of the building’s refrigeration/heating systems by reducing load requirements during peak hours.
